
I. Curriculum Guide
Description | In-person and/or virtual sessions linked to life lessons acquired through the journey of basketball, authored by Will Clark IV at: www.bumpsandseams.com. Sessions are conducted in small group settings, as well as classroom and 1-on-1 discussions |
Overarching Goal | To inspire students to discover and use their personal stories for self-growth; helping to find meaning in life, reflecting on aspects of their stories with more positivity and hope, and developing the habit of finding value in challenging experiences. |
Session Format | Each session is designed to be no more than 60 minutes in length and can be customized, as necessary. Each session will cover a specific topic and have no more than three Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) objectives. Sport stories and analogies will also be utilized to draw connections between life on and off the court/field. |

3. Link purpose to personal values to help them make responsible decisions in their lives. |
