“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12
A basketball is made of many small bumps and seams that hold the ball together. This texture allows for more grip to improve the player’s ability to shoot, dribble, and pass.
In life, there are many bumps and obstacles that we face everyday. It is our choice whether we let these “tests” make or break us. These bumps are simply tests of our faith. When we pass the test of our faith, we end up seaming together the bumps to grow deeper in our purpose.
These insights are not limited to basketball players and athletes. They can be applied to anybody who is looking to use their everyday tests to further develop themselves as a person mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Sports are a great way to learn how to deal with the highs and lows of life. No matter if you are winning or losing, it is always important to maintain a positive attitude on and off the court or field.
My hope is that we can receive the crown of life promised to us all!
